Terms of Use

Collector Lanes is an online marketplace that connects sellers and buyers of vehicles, motorcycles, and automobilia. We are not a dealer, broker, or auctioneer.

We do not own, inspect, or take possession of any item listed on the site. Every sale is a direct transaction between seller and buyer. Collector Lanes is not a party to that contract.

To bid on Collector Lanes, you must register with a valid email address and have a payment card on file. You are responsible for your account and all activity under it.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this site.

A bid is a binding commitment. Preview bids placed before a car goes on the block are real, binding bids — not expressions of interest. The high preview bid enters the live hour as the standing bid.

Sale-night auctions run for exactly one hour on the block. There are no time extensions. The last bid received before the clock reaches zero wins. If no higher bid is placed during the live hour, the high preview bid wins (subject to reserve).

A card hold is placed for the buyer’s fee when you bid. If you do not win, the hold is released. If you win, the fee is charged even if you fail to complete the purchase with the seller.

Fees are set out on the Bidding and Fees page. By registering, you agree to pay all applicable fees, including the buyer’s premium and any seller listing fees, plus applicable taxes.

The two percent charity donation is made by Collector Lanes from its share of the premium. You pay nothing extra for it.

At registration you choose one of five pre-selected charities. Two percent of your buyer’s premium on every win is donated to that charity.

You may change your charity selection anytime in your account settings.

Sellers must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information about every item they list, including title status and condition. Sellers are responsible for completing the transaction with the winning buyer.

Buyers are responsible for shipping, taxes, registration, and all costs of taking ownership. Buyers should inspect or arrange inspection before bidding.

Collector Lanes is not responsible for the accuracy of seller-provided information.

No unlawful use of the site. No false or misleading listings. No bidding with no intent to purchase. No interference with the site or its systems.

Collector Lanes may suspend or terminate any account at its discretion.

Collector Lanes is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this site.

Total liability is limited to fees paid to Collector Lanes in the twelve months before the claim.

Disputes will first be attempted through informal resolution. If unresolved, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis, not as a class action, in the state where Collector Lanes is based.

You waive the right to a jury trial.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
